Learning new words through play

Based on research  by a team from Temple University, the University of Delaware, and Vanderbilt University that was presented at the Biennial Meeting of the Society for Research in Child Development, this collaborative article with lead author, Emily Hopkins, suggests why children can learn vocabulary just as effectively through play as through shared book reading.
